On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce that nominations for the National Board of Directors is now open. We are extending an invitation to TMAC members to consider nominating someone – or standing for office yourself. These are volunteer positions.

TMAC is a healthy, vital, growing organization. Credit for this goes in very large measure to the volunteers who step up to make this the amazing association that it is. That includes the committed members who serve on the National Board. This may be your opportunity to serve your colleagues and friends by accepting a nomination to the board.

With a maximum capacity of 14 positions on the Board of Directors, we are seeking nominations for four (4) positions in total:

  • Four (4) Directors-at-Large for a two-year term (from among media or industry members), beginning June 1, 2026 until May 31, 2027.

These positions will join the current Board of Directors’ members who are in the midst of two-year terms, namely

  • Jerry Grymek (industry), based in Ontario, in the midst of his two-year term as President, after which he is required to take a 1-Year absence from volunteering as a Board Director.

  • Katie Conklin (industry), based in Nova Scotia, in the midst of her two-year term as Vice-President, after which she automatically assumes a two-year term as President.

Entering the second year of their first two-year term, are the following Director-at-Large Board Members; they continue on the board:

  • Jody Robbins – Media Member (Alberta)

  • Kevin Wagar – Media Member (Ontario)

  • Nadine Robinson – Media Member (Ontario)

  • Nancy Bordeleau – Media Member (Quebec)
  • Tania Kedikian – Industry Member (Ontario)

  • Vladimir Jean-Gilles – Industry Member (Ontario)

One current board member has completed their first two-year term; they have the opportunity to seek nomination for re-election to the board to serve a second term.

  • Andrew Hiscock – Industry Member (Newfoundland & Labrador)

Completing their term, Wendy Nordvik-Carr and Lola Agustine Brown (resigned).  We thank them for their dedication and time serving TMAC.

TMAC continues to be in great shape, with a healthy membership including folks from the entire spectrum of travel media, as well as a terrific group of national and international industry representatives. And the success of TMAC rests in many ways on the work of your National Board.

I encourage each member of TMAC to consider serving as a Director on the National Board. March 13 will bring your opportunity to be nominated as a candidate for election to the Board. Please consider nominating a colleague, or standing for office.

Prior to the opening of nominations, there will be an information session concerning the role of TMAC directors. We will also be sharing this information on line. More details will be forthcoming about the schedule and the process of nomination, election, voting, and attending the AGM.
